Parulekar Named CIO at Workers Credit Union

LITTLETON, Mass.–Workers Credit Union has named Sandesh Parulekar as its new CIO. WCU said Parulekar brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in digital transformation and technology strategy.

Sandesh joins Workers Credit Union from Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), where he served in various roles over four and a half years. 

“As VP of Engineering, Sandesh was instrumental in enhancing the digital banking experience for members, building AI/ML capabilities, and streamlining back-office operations through automation and business process management,” WCU said.

In his new role as CIO, Parulekar will be responsible for developing and executing the credit union’s digital transformation strategy, aligning technology with business goals, and driving innovation. He will also focus on integrating AI to improve both member and employee experiences.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sandesh to our team,” WCU President and CEO Jay Champion said in a statement. “His extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to technology will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our digital capabilities and provide exceptional service to our members.”

Parulekar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (Bombay University) in Mumbai, India, and an MBA in Finance from Boston University. He resides in Sharon, Massachusetts, and enjoys reading, walking his dog, learning Spanish, and camping in his free time.
