BATON ROUGE, La.–Pelican Credit Union said it has now paid out $440,000 to its youngest members for their hard work in the classroom through its long-standing “Dollars for A’s initiative.”
It said the program designed to encourage strong study habits while introducing young members to smart money practices.

Pelican members with Team Pelican accounts can earn cash rewards for every A they receive on their semester-end report cards. Since 2020, Pelican CU said it has presented 12,788 awards to students across Louisiana totaling nearly $440,000.
Each semester, eligible students can earn up to $70 simply by bringing their report cards to any Pelican branch or submitting them digitally through the MyPelican App, “making it easy for families to participate.”
