Pelican State Joining With Store to Give Away $10K in Groceries

BATON ROUGE, La.–Pelican State Credit Union said it will be giving away $10,000 in free groceries on March 11 at the Ralph’s Market in Gonzales, La. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The first 200 families to arrive will receive $50 in groceries.

The 725-million Pelican State Credit Union said the giveaway is a collaboration with Ralph’s Market, which is an Ascension Parish owned and operated grocery chain.

Membership in the credit union is not necessary to participate. All parish residents are eligible to join the credit union, which has served the area since 2017.

Pelican State has nearly 79,000 members.
