HARRISBURG, Penn. — The Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities has launched a new online financial education portal aimed at helping residents better manage their finances, avoid fraud and access consumer assistance resources, according to the office of Gov. Josh Shapiro.
The new website, My Money, available at pa.gov/MyMoney, consolidates financial education materials, fraud prevention information and consumer assistance resources into a single online hub. According to the governor’s office, the site has already been visited by more than 17,000 users.
State officials said the portal includes resources covering a range of financial topics, including:
- Higher education and workforce training.
- Employment and family finances.
- Homeownership.
- Military and veterans’ services.
- Small business ownership.
- Unexpected life events.
- Aging and retirement planning.

What Users Can Also Do
The site also allows users to contact the Department of Banking and Securities’ Consumer Help Center, subscribe to agency newsletters, access downloadable publications and educational materials, and use interactive financial literacy tools.
The launch is part of the Shapiro administration’s broader consumer protection initiative, which also includes the state’s consumer protection hotline, an online consumer assistance portal and additional efforts to combat financial fraud.
Consumer Protection Actions Cited
According to the governor’s office, the administration has also taken several consumer protection actions since Shapiro took office, including:
- Requiring virtual currency transmitters to obtain licenses under Pennsylvania’s Money Transmitter Act.
- Creating criminal penalties for the use of artificial intelligence to produce fraudulent deepfakes and voice clones.
- Launching an AI Literacy Toolkit to educate consumers about artificial intelligence.
- Establishing an AI Enforcement Task Force to investigate complaints involving AI-powered systems engaged in unlicensed professional practices.
- Returning more than $54 million to consumers through regulatory actions by the Department of Banking and Securities and the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.
State officials said the new website is intended to make trusted financial information more accessible while helping Pennsylvanians recognize scams, protect their personal finances and make informed financial decisions.
