SOUTHFIELD, Mich.–People Driven Credit Union has named a new president and CEO to succeed Renee DeMarco, who intends to retire at year-end after 15 years in the role.
Effective Jan. 1, 2027, the $515-million PDCU said Tommy Gasso will lead the organization. Gasso, who joined PDCU in 2023, will work closely with DeMarco throughout 2026 to ensure a :seamless transition before assuming full CEO responsibilities the CU said.

“It’s an honor to step into this position and build on the strong foundation Renee has created for both our members and our team,” Gasso said in a statement. “PDCU has a long-standing commitment to putting members first, and that will remain my top priority throughout this transition as we continue expanding our services, supporting our communities, and increasing access to financial resources.”
More Than Two Decades of Experience
Gasso has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, having held senior roles at Community Financial Credit Union, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup. As chief lending officer, the credit union said he played a role in expanding PDCU’s lending programs and supporting its continued growth.
