HARRISBURG, Penn. — PSECU has selected Candescent to provide technology for its digital member experience in a multiyear project intended to support the Pennsylvania credit union’s growth, Candescent announced Tuesday.
PSECU chose Candescent after a competitive evaluation. The project will use Votiv, the customer experience component of Candescent’s Intelligent Banking Platform, to connect digital services with real-time information about members, according to the company. Candescent said the goal is to help PSECU offer more personalized guidance alongside routine transactions.

PSECU serves more than 545,000 members and has more than $9 billion in assets.
Atlanta-based Candescent said the investment is intended to give the credit union a technology foundation as it approaches $10 billion in assets and continues serving individuals, families and businesses across Pennsylvania.
‘More Personalized Experiences’
“We are investing in the technology and capabilities that will allow us to create more personalized, connected experiences while continuing to deliver the trust and value our members expect from PSECU,” PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph said in Candescent’s announcement.
Candescent CEO Jason Edelboim said PSECU is the first new client to select Votiv. He called the decision a validation of the company’s digital banking strategy.
The announcement pointed to PSECU’s history of remote banking, including its 1995 launch of PSECU-at-home, which used floppy disks mailed to members so they could conduct transactions from home.
Candescent and PSECU will begin planning and implementation together. The company did not provide a completion date or disclose the value of the agreement.
