Raiz FCU Offering Free Admission to District’s Sports Events to Spirit Debit Cardholders

EL PASO, Texas — Raiz Federal Credit Union is offering free admission to Ysleta Independent School District athletic events for members who use the credit union’s YISD High School Spirit Debit Cards.

The benefit coincides with the start of the new football season and is available to Raiz members who have one of the YISD-branded cards, according to the credit union.

Raiz said the program is intended to make it easier for students, parents, families, educators and staff to attend athletic events and support their schools.

“School events bring our community together and create meaningful memories for students and their families,” Raiz President and CEO Max Villaronga said in a statement. “Raiz was founded by educators, and we are proud to continue honoring those roots by making it easier for our members to support YISD students, celebrate their accomplishments, and show their school pride.”

Purchases Also Generate Support for Schools

The debit card program also provides financial support to participating high schools.

Each time a cardholder makes a non-PIN transaction using a High School Spirit Debit Card, Raiz makes a contribution to the selected school’s clubs, programs and athletic teams, the credit union said.

YISD cards are currently available for nine schools:

  • Bel Air High School.
  • Del Valle High School.
  • Eastwood High School.
  • Hanks High School.
  • Parkland High School.
  • Riverside High School.
  • Valle Verde Early College.
  • Young Women’s Leadership Academy.
  • Ysleta High School.

Nearly 40 School sin All

Raiz said its High School Spirit Debit Card Program extends beyond YISD, with more than 38 high schools across all public school districts in El Paso County participating.

Members can select a debit card carrying their participating high school’s design.
