EL PASO, Texas – Raiz Federal Credit Union team members raised $12,396 to grant 7-year-old Natalia Sanchez’s wish to visit Walt Disney World and meet her favorite character, Stitch.
The campaign began with bake sales, raffles and headshot sessions but quickly spread across the credit union, exceeding the $10,000 goal in weeks.
“What stands out today is not just fulfilling Natalia’s wish, but the love behind it,” said Max Villaronga, Raiz president and CEO.
Make-A-Wish El Paso joined Raiz for the celebration at the Raiz Community Impact building, where Natalia’s family, friends and community partners learned of the trip.
“Once again, Raiz Federal Credit Union stepped up for our El Paso wish kids,” said Kim Elenez, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish El Paso. “Natalia’s dream of visiting Disney World will bring her joy, hope and strength.”
Her father, Omar Sanchez, added, “We’re very fortunate to be part of this initiative with you.”
