HUNTSVILLE, Ala.–Redstone Federal Credit Union is recognizing four individuals as its 2026 Community Champions, highlighting people who have turned “personal experiences, challenges and a desire to serve into organizations and initiatives making a difference for others.”
This year’s Community Champions include:
· Carlos Flores, Harleys for Hope, whose organization distributes hundreds of stuffed bears to children experiencing difficult circumstances through hospitals, nonprofits and first responders.
· Rosemary Jordan, Empowerment Through Change, who transformed the loss of her son to violence into a mission focused on supporting students, college students and senior citizens.
· Ty Oswald, Bearded Warriors, an Iraq veteran who created a network providing camaraderie, resources and support for fellow combat veterans and their families.
· Stacey Givens, Make A Way Foundation, who was inspired by her son’s autism diagnosis to create sensory rooms for children, with 31 rooms now established across 21 schools and serving more than 1,000 students.
“Beyond recognizing their work, the Community Champions program reflects how credit unions can use their community presence to elevate grassroots organizations and the people addressing needs firsthand,” the credit union said.
