ROSEBURG, Ore. — Rogue Credit Union is expanding its partnership with Umpqua Community College through a new five-year agreement that will support the college’s new track and field facility and other community initiatives, the college said.
The partnership, established July 14, will result in the facility being named the UCC Track & Field Complex Sponsored by Rogue Credit Union.
According to Umpqua Community College, the agreement builds on a longstanding relationship between the two organizations and is intended to support education, student success and community engagement throughout Douglas County.
‘A Valued Partner’
“Rogue Credit Union has been a valued partner to UCC and our students for many years,” UCC President Rachel Pokrandt said in a statement. “This expanded partnership reflects a shared investment in Douglas County. While the track will provide an outstanding venue for our student-athletes, its greatest impact will be felt across the community as a welcoming space for youth programs, local events, recreation and opportunities that bring people together for years to come.”
The college said Rogue Credit Union’s support has included an on-campus student branch, classroom financial education programs and a co-branded student debit card discount program. The credit union also has sponsored UCC Athletics through game-day activities and promotional events and has been a longtime supporter of the UCC Foundation’s annual Legacy Ball.
UCC said the new track and field complex is intended to serve not only student-athletes but also K-12 competitions, youth programs, community recreation, campus events and regional gatherings.

We’re excited to help create a space that will inspire students, welcome families and provide opportunities for people throughout Douglas County to gather, compete and stay active.”
The college plans to celebrate the grand opening of the facility on Aug. 29 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and activities for community members. Additional details on the event will be announced later, UCC said.
