SecurityPlus FCU Hosting Women in Business Panel Today

BALTIMORE–Securityplus Federal Credit Union said it plans to host a Women in Business Panel Discussion today in celebration of Women’s History Month. 

The event will take place at Securityplus’ headquarters from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The panel will highlight the achievements of women business owners and leaders while fostering discussions on entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial empowerment, according to the credit union. 

“Securityplus is committed to supporting minority and small businesses in the communities we serve, not only through financial services but by creating opportunities for education, networking and collaboration,” Anthony Carpenter, VP-business services said in a statement.

Diverse Panel

According to SecurityPlus, the panel will feature four business leaders from diverse industries:

  • Kathleen Dorsey, Chief Financial Officer of the Northwest Chamber of Commerce and owner of Clarity Consulting Group & Collective Wisdom.
  • Kim Fernandez, Executive Director of the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce and owner of Girlkin Lashes.
  • Tisha Grant, founder of The Contract Her, known as “The DIY Queen,” specializing in remodeling, renovations, and home improvement. Tisha also provides education to women as it relates to home improvement. 
  • Dr. Nicole Singletary, owner of VIM Chiropractic & Wellness Center, focusing on holistic health and wellness.

The event will include discussions on the challenges and opportunities faced by women in business, strategies for success, and financial literacy. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the panelists and connect with other professionals in the community.
