Now (On)boarding: Skyward CU Expands FOM to Aviation Industry

WICHITA, Kan.– Skyward Credit Union is expanding its field of membership to anyone who works in the aviation industry or who lives in seven Kansas counties.

The $376-million credit union, which was chartered to serve employees of Textron and its subsidiaries, including the Cessna and Beech aircraft companies, said it is seeking to honor its legacy while growing to serve a broader community. 

Its FOM now includes:

  • Professionals in aviation or aerospace (commercial, general, or military)
  • Individuals affiliated with organizations supporting the aviation industry
  • Members of aviation-related associations
  • Members of the Kansas Aviation Museum
  • Residents or employees in the following Kansas counties: Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Montgomery, Wilson, Labette, and Chautauqua
  • Immediate family or household members of eligible individuals

Part of Larger Initiative

“This expansion is part of a larger initiative to grow Skyward’s member base, enhance services, and deepen community involvement,” the credit union said in a statement. “With a broader reach, Skyward will be better positioned to offer innovative financial products and personalized service to meet our members’ evolving needs.”

Skyward CU has approximately 21,000 members.
