SAN ANTONIO–Soarion Credit Union has selected five local high school students as the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program. Each student will receive $5,000 to be used for college costs including dorm expenses, tuition and fees, computers, and other supplies.
The 2026 Soarion Credit Union scholarship recipients are:
- Allen Carr, Churchill High School
- Lauryn Elliott, Marshall Law and Medical Services High School
- Zoe Esquivel, Southwest High School
- Lillian Flores, Churchill High School
- Emily Gonzalez, NSITE High School
“Each year Soarion Credit Union is proud to provide resources to local students through our scholarship program and help facilitate access to higher education opportunities,” said Ric Ledezma, Soarion’s President and CEO. “We look forward to seeing this next generation of leaders soar to their highest potential.”
Soarion Credit Union awards scholarships annually to deserving students who are planning on attending an accredited public or private college, university, community college, or technical college. Selection is based on the applicant’s service in the community, academic performance, leadership, and financial need. Recipients must be a Soarion Credit Union member or the dependent of a member in good standing.
The scholarship program is administered in partnership with the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
