COLUMBUS, Ohio — Telhio Credit Union is reporting it collected more than 7,000 items for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio through a monthlong donation drive that culminated during the credit union’s day at the 2026 Ohio State Fair.
Throughout July, Telhio branches encouraged members and other community residents to donate items from the charity’s wish list in exchange for free admission vouchers to the Ohio State Fair, according to the $1.3-billion credit union.

More than 5,500 items were collected at Telhio branches, including canned food, paper products and condiments. The items are frequently used by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio to support families staying at its Columbus facility.
‘Deeply Meaningful’
Telhio employees and volunteers collected approximately another 1,500 items at the fair’s entrance during Telhio’s Day at the Fair on Aug. 7, bringing the total to more than 7,000 items, the credit union said.
“This longstanding commitment to the Ronald McDonald House is deeply meaningful to us,” Nick Biratsis, vice president of marketing at Telhio, said in a statement. “Spending the day at the fair connecting with the community, while also furthering the mission of RMHC, is an experience we look forward to every year.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities provides accommodations and other support to families whose children are receiving medical care.
‘Reliable Partner’
Dee Anders, CEO and executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, said Telhio has been a longtime supporter of the organization.
“We greatly appreciate Telhio Credit Union and their continuous support of the Ronald McDonald House,” Anders said. “They have been a reliable partner for years now, helping us keep families close when children need health care.”
