EMPLE, Texas – Texell Credit Union has been recognized as one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in the nation by American Banker, ranking 29th in the 2026 survey.
This marks the sixth year Texell ranked among the top 50 credit unions. Winners are selected based on two surveys from the Best Companies Group that examine benefits and workplace policies as well as employee surveys on culture and overall engagement.
Texell was one of only three Texas credit unions and the only one in Central Texas to receive this recognition. Texell is also the largest credit union in Texas to make the list. The full list of Best Credit Unions to Work For is available online at americanbanker.com.

The Best Credit Unions to Work For list involves a two-survey process. The first survey examines employee satisfaction in eight areas, including leadership and planning, culture and communication, and overall engagement. A second survey evaluates each credit union’s workplace policies, practices, and benefits. The combined scores determine the final ranking of the best credit unions.
