RIO RANCHO, N.M. – The National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations (NACUSO) has opened nominations for the NACUSO Awards 2027 and NACUSO’s Next Big Idea Competition.
“These highly anticipated industry accolades are designed to honor and promote the CUSOs, fintech companies, and innovators who are moving the credit union system forward,” the organization said.
Nominations will be accepted through Dec. 15 across three award categories:
- CUSO of the Year – recognizing CUSOs that are innovative, inspirational, and irreplaceable to the credit union movement
- New CUSO of the Year – honoring CUSOs under three years old that are bringing a fresh approach to the industry
- Fintech of the Year – celebrating technology companies solving real challenges for credit unions
‘Shark Tank Style Competition’
In addition, entries are now being accepted for NACUSO’s Next Big Idea Competition, a “Shark-Tank”-style pitch competition where finalists will present and be voted on live at NACUSO’s flagship event, Reimagine 2027.
NACUSO’s Next Big Idea Competition spotlights emerging concepts and innovators with the potential to have a huge impact on the credit union industry, with the winning idea earning a $10,000 cash prize and all finalists enjoying podcast features and ongoing promotions through NACUSO.
“These awards shine a light on the innovators driving the credit union system forward,” Randy Salser, president and CEO of NACUSO, said in a statement. “These are the organizations that aren’t content with what’s been done before or the way things are. Instead, they’re asking, ‘What could we do to make things better?’”
Anyone Can Enter
NACUSO said anyone in the credit union system – including credit union leaders, CUSO employees, and fintech companies – is eligible to submit a nomination, whether for a peer, a partner, or their own organization.
Winners will be honored at Reimagine 2027, NACUSO’s flagship annual conference, held March 30 – April 2, 2027, in Las Vegas.
