GRAND HAVEN, Mich.– Tri-Cities Credit Union here said it has selected Dolphin Debit to manage its ATMs, after the manufacturer said it would be sunsetting the machines.
According to the company, that looming capital investment caused Tri-Cities to begin reassessing its traditional management strategy and consider outsourcing its ATM management.

“We didn’t want to face that big investment, but we did want a machine from the same vendor,” President and CEO Kim Hall said in a statement.. “Dolphin Debit was able to take over the management but get us the ATM we wanted.”
Dolphin reported that it and Tri-Cities partnered in an ATM-as-a-Service approach that was tailored to just what Tri-Cities wanted and needed in its management program.
Partnered With League
“We were looking for a provider that partnered with the Michigan Credit Union League,” said Hall. “We know the league does due diligence when it comes to its partners, and it was important to us that Dolphin Debit had been a strong league partner for five years.”
Hall added that Dolphin’s flexibility in terms of structuring a management program and its range of solution options was a real bonus, according to the company.
“There is no one-approach-fits-all when it comes to credit unions,” Joe Woods, SVP-marketing and partnerships for Dolphin Debit, said in a statement. “Every credit union is unique, and needs a customized management arrangement. That is our specialty.”
