JACKSON, Mich.– TRUE Community Credit Union said it has entered into a partnership with Grow Jackson to launch the River & Rail Farm Stop, a neighborhood-scale grocery that will feature a diverse selection of local, seasonal produce, milk, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, pantry essentials, and a curated assortment of beer and wine.
Guests will also enjoy a welcoming café and patio, designed to foster community connection and celebrate the region’s agricultural heritage, according to the credit union.

“At TRUE Community Credit Union, our mission is to cultivate legacy‑defining moments for the people and places we serve, and the River & Rail Farm Stop is exactly that kind of moment for the Jackson community,” TCCU President and CEO Chrissy Siders said in a statement. “This space brings people together, supports local growers, and strengthens the fabric of our community. We’re proud to invest in initiatives like this that help Jackson thrive today and for generations to come.”
‘More Than a Store’
According to the $933-million credit union, the River & Rail Farm Stop is more than just a store—it’s a cornerstone of Grow Jackson’s broader food hub ecosystem, anchoring food purchasing, aggregation, and distribution efforts right within the local community. By expanding fresh food access and strengthening the local food economy, TRUE Community said the Farm Stop will play a critical role in stabilizing and supporting multiple food access programs throughout Jackson County.
The credit union added the partnership underscores the shared commitment to sustainable, community-driven solutions that empower local producers and enrich the lives of Jackson County residents.
