JACKSON, Mich. – TRUE Community Credit Union’s Financial Education and Community Impact teams received three national awards from the Credit Union Financial Education Network (CUFEN) for the 2025-2026 school year.
The teams secured first place for “Most Student Presentations Delivered,” second place for “Most Students Reached,” and third place for “Most Adult Presentations” for credit unions of its asset size. These awards reflect TRUECCU’s dedication to empowering individuals with the knowledge, tools, and guidance needed to make confident financial decisions.

“This recognition is a testament to the creativity, passion, and dedication our team shows up with every day,” said TRUECCU Director of Community Partnerships Janelle Merritt. “We believe the best learning happens when people are having fun. Our goal is to change financial education from being complicated to building confidence. We’re honored by this recognition and energized for what comes next.”
The awards were presented at the CUFEN Conference in San Antonio, where Merritt and Lorrie Dettloff, TRUECCU Financial Education Coordinator, joined credit union professionals from across the country to strengthen their financial wellness expertise.a
