BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – United Federal Credit Union said it is reinforcing its commitment to entrepreneurship and economic development as the Title Sponsor of Cornerstone Alliance Entrepreneurial Services’ 2026 Business Plan Certified program, a comprehensive, eight-month initiative designed to help entrepreneurs start or grow their business.
The Business Plan Certified Program equips aspiring, early stage, and growing business owners with the foundational tools, education, and confidence needed to build capital-ready business plans. As Title Sponsor, United is playing a critical role in helping entrepreneurs move from concept to launch with a strong financial foundation, the credit union said.

Supporting entrepreneurs in building a strong foundation is one of the most impactful ways we can strengthen our communities,” said Natalie Hurst, Senior Market Development Manager at United. “By investing in education, access, and financial readiness, we are helping business owners build the skills and confidence they need to grow sustainable businesses.”
Through this partnership, United will provide three financial literacy training sessions to program participants, focused on key elements of business development. Topics include business budgeting and cash flow planning, understanding business credit and lending readiness, and using banking tools to support long term growth.
“United Federal Credit Union’s investment goes beyond sponsorship,” said Brandy Jaquez, Managing Director of Cornerstone Alliance Entrepreneurial Services. “Their commitment to new and growing entrepreneurs ensures participants receive not only education, but real world tools and access that help turn business plans into action.”
