JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —VyStar Credit Union is launching a free webinar series aimed at helping renters, prospective homebuyers and homeowners navigate rising housing costs.
The series, titled “Navigating High Rent & Homeownership Costs,” is designed to provide practical guidance for consumers dealing with higher rents, home prices and mortgage costs.
According to VyStar, the webinars will cover topics including:
- Managing housing expenses.
- Preparing for homeownership.
- Building savings.
- Improving credit.
- Managing debt.
Many Would-Be Buyers Forced to ‘Rethink’
“Rising rent and higher home purchasing costs are causing many people to rethink what home means and what comes next,” Dana Karzan, VyStar Credit Union’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “This series is designed to provide clear, practical guidance that helps our members and communities make informed decisions, build confidence and take meaningful steps toward long-term housing cost and investment management.”
VyStar said registration for the free webinar series is now open.
Sweepstakes Offered
The credit union also said individuals who register by July 3 will be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to be one of six winners to receive $1,500 to help cover rent or mortgage expenses.
According to VyStar, the sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Florida and Georgia who are at least 18 years old. No purchase is necessary to enter.
