PASADENA, Calif. — Wescom Financial has appointed Albert Chang as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Wescom’s marketing, advertising, and public relations strategy and implementation, guiding the organization’s efforts to expand its reach, elevate its brand presence, and strengthen member connections across its California markets.

Chang brings more than two decades of marketing leadership experience in healthcare, utilities, consumer goods, and retail. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Marketing at CVS Health, where he led omnichannel go-to-market and growth marketing strategy for CVS Health’s multi-billion dollar health services business (including COVID testing, MinuteClinic, and flu shots).
“He was instrumental in driving customer acquisition and retention through data-driven performance campaigns and shaping brand positioning, reinforcing CVS Health’s role as a trusted partner in everyday wellness and preventive care,” the credit union said.
Prior to that, Chang had also served as Director of Marketing at Kaiser Permanente, overseeing national and California marketing efforts. During his tenure with Kaiser Permanente, he developed marketing strategies to drive member growth, enhance member engagement, and foster brand affinity in diverse local communities.
“Albert’s expertise in brand strategy and passion for data-driven marketing make him a tremendous addition to our leadership team,” said Ashley White, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at Wescom. “We are confident his vision and experience with mission-driven, member-focused organizations will help us elevate our brand, broaden our impact, and deliver even greater value to the members and communities we serve.”
At Wescom, Chang will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives designed to drive growth, deepen member loyalty, and advance Wescom’s mission of building better lives for Californians.
“I am honored to join Wescom Financial at such an exciting time of growth and opportunity,” said Chang. “I look forward to using my experience with mission-driven organizations and consumer-facing brands to build on Wescom’s strong foundation and create meaningful connections across California.”
