EL PASO, Texas –White Sand FCU has made a $1,000 donation to the Child Crisis Center of El Paso.

The donation was presented during a visit to the center, which serves as the only emergency shelter for children aged 0 to 13 in the borderland region.

“We believe that collaboration between nonprofits and businesses just gives a stronger community goal,” Christine Tedesco, member solutions manager at White Sands Federal Credit Union, highlighted the value of partnerships between nonprofits and businesses.

The Child Crisis Center has been a cornerstone of support in El Paso for 45 years, providing essential services such as clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies to children in need. 

The donation from White Sands Federal Credit Union is part of its “Do a Good Deed” program, which is employee-nominated and focuses on volunteering time and resources to help the local community.
