RESTON, Va.–The ACH network is reporting double-digit growth in Same-Day ACH volume during the first quarter of 2026.
According to Nacha, there were 403 million Same Day ACH payments, up 23.6% from the first quarter of 2025. Those payments were valued at $1.1 trillion, a 22.1% gain over a year ago, and the second straight quarter in which Same Day ACH value topped the $1 trillion mark, Nacha added.
The organization further said business-to-business (B2B) payment volume grew substantially, with nearly 2.1 billion made in the first quarter, up 9.4% from a year earlier.
Moving Away from Checks
“The strong growth in both Same Day ACH and B2B payments reflect the strength of the ACH Network,” said Jane Larimer, Nacha President and CEO. “ACH payments are moving the nation’s businesses away from checks, and Same Day ACH is helping to meet the demand for faster payments.”
Total ACH Network volume rose 4.8% to 8.9 billion payments; the value of those payments was $24.1 trillion, up 9.3%, Nacha said.
